Subject with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome has experienced four NDEs during various medical crises. At age 5, during cancer surgery to remove a kidney, she coded from blood loss. She found herself in a waiting room with benches and a woman at a table with two swirling colored portals - one red and one blue. The woman stamped her hand blue and directed her through the blue portal. She emerged in her neighborhood, saw deceased grandparents, entered her house and heard her father and sister having lunch though she couldn't see them.
In 2013, after 18 hours of labor, she was bleeding out and her son was dying. During emergency surgery, she observed from above as doctors delivered her baby and saw herself pale and unconscious. Her doctor later confirmed she was "on her way out of this life." In 2016, two weeks after brain decompression surgery, she developed septic infection with CSF leaking from her neck. She coded with vitals at 43/30 and experienced incredible peace while observing the medical chaos. She heard beautiful classical music for five days that only she could perceive, continuing until she was moved from ICU. In June 2018, an E. coli infection caused kidney failure. Between passing out and waking, she played with her deceased childhood dog - feeling, smelling, and hearing him vividly. Each experience brought technicolor brightness to her world and deeper understanding of life's meaning. She teaches others to live in the moment and notice life's beauty. Her medical team confirmed multiple near-death events. The experiences transformed her perspective, making everything brighter and more meaningful. She now helps others daily and maintains that life is beautiful when truly noticed.
