A woman caring for her terminally ill sister Kate experienced anaphylactic shock on December 23, 2022, resulting in an NDE. During the experience, she found herself near the ceiling of her living room looking down on Kate in the hospice bed, with the rest of the room in gray mist. She perceived a question about what would happen to Kate if she died and received assurance that Kate would be fine. Images of their animals and her three children flashed before her, with the same question and answer. She felt emotional about leaving her children and immediately returned. She also experienced unusual consciousness-sharing episodes with Kate in the shower and later a profound shared-death experience where she guided Kate through a transition involving a dirt road, a gate with deceased relatives, and Kate's peaceful crossing. The shared-death experience lasted about 1 hour 40 minutes, ending at 8:42am, a time she had seen displayed in red numbers when it began. Following these experiences, she recognized she had also had a previous shared-death experience with an ex-husband.
