On February 11, 2020, around 9 PM, a woman experienced a violent assault involving strangulation that resulted in a near-death experience. During the attack, with hands around her throat, she quickly lost consciousness and found herself somewhere extraordinary. The environment was characterized by an indescribably bright, happy light that wasn't harsh or painful like artificial lights or even the sun. Everything was illuminated from within, and she experienced sensations so vivid that sight combined with deep feelings in her soul, making vision almost unnecessary. She was at what felt like a gate or border of a wonderful garden, though not physically visible. The overwhelming feeling was pure bliss and love beyond the range of normal human emotion. There she encountered her father who had died 19 years earlier when she was 12. He appeared not as the hardened, cancer-stricken person she remembered, but young and free like in old photos from Virginia, completely carefree and peaceful. Other people were present but her focus was on her father. She existed near him without words being spoken, experiencing a ball of warm healing loving light encompassing peace, forgiveness, love, happiness, understanding, and acceptance. Her name being called repeatedly pulled her back, creating a choice between staying with her father or returning. She woke to her attacker holding and shaking her, screaming her name. The experience left her with deep confusion and pain at losing her father again so quickly, but absolutely convinced of its reality.
