On February 2, 2023, a woman had gastric bypass surgery. Forty-eight hours later, she suffered complications requiring emergency surgery for bowel obstruction in two places. Her organs began failing and she was placed in a medically induced coma on a ventilator. During the coma, she found herself in a crowded place with voices like a restaurant. The crowd appeared as black silhouettes, but sitting before her in honey-colored light were three deceased relatives: her godmother who had passed years before with sad eyes, her grandmother who died when she was 12, and her grandfather who died when she was 19. All three appeared incredibly young. Behind the crowd was a bright white light at a small distance. She repeatedly asked "Why can I see you all?" with no response. She felt no negative emotions - no anger, pain, temperature, or fear - only noticing sadness in her godmother's eyes. She awoke days later in the ICU. When she described how young her relatives looked to her mother, her mother confirmed they appeared as they had looked years before the experiencer was born, providing evidential confirmation.
