On Valentine's Day 2017 in Providence, RI, a woman was hit by a car driven by a drunk driver while waiting at a crosswalk. Her last conscious thought was "I'm not gonna make it." She found herself floating as dark mist in a wide, dark tunnel, experiencing complete serenity with no memory of the accident. A singular being accompanied her, appearing as a Central or South American deity mask with rainbow-colored glowing edges. The entity had three slanted stripes on each cheek and expressed simultaneous laughing and crying. Though mischievous and slightly sinister, she enjoyed his presence. They communicated telepathically while he kept her company. She felt he was experiencing all the emotions she wasn't feeling. Her final words were "I have to go back for my babies," and she immediately returned, conscious and screaming. She suffered cortical blindness initially, requiring seven staples for an occipital lobe injury. Released after four hours with no other injuries remarkably. The experience convinced her everyone "goes to heaven" regardless, and reinforced her atheist beliefs while acknowledging forces humans don't understand. She never felt alone during the experience.
