As a child playing in the basement, the experiencer was eating a hard candy (jawbreaker) that got stuck in their windpipe. Unable to breathe, after a few minutes they fell to the ground and floated out of their body. They found themselves in a tunnel full of sparkling colors, walking over a bridge to a beautiful landscape. From a brilliant light, a figure emerged and came toward them - a brilliant angel in white robe with golden trim, shimmering in golden white light with shimmering wings. Never afraid, they knew it was St. Michael the Archangel. The angel took their hand and communicated telepathically that they had to go back home as their mother would be worried. They walked back and instantly found themselves in the basement, back in their body, as the candy flew out of their throat and they could breathe again. Their mother had named them Michael and they wore a St. Michael medal, which they still wear today. They have maintained lifelong devotion and attachment to St. Michael.
