A ten-year-old girl was riding bikes home from school with her friend Todd, who was swinging a bungee cord attached to his bike handle. The cord accidentally looped under his glasses and hit him in the eye, causing him to lose control and fall. She ran over his legs and fell off her bike, losing consciousness while looking at a street light. She immediately found herself in absolute pitch darkness, darker than any physical darkness, which felt neither hostile nor threatening but simply existed.
In this darkness, she felt her feet shuffle forward on what seemed like a freshly polished wooden stage worn from years of use. A blinding beam of light engulfed her from above, and she sensed her own features being "etched into life" like an artist drawing. She heard hushed murmurs from an unknown number of entities that she sensed were in stands like a Roman coliseum, populated by angels, demons, and deities. Two masculine voices became clear, with one asking "What is she doing here?" and another responding "It isn't her time yet." A doorway-shaped light appeared to her left with a growing black spot that revealed itself as Todd approaching while calling her name repeatedly. As she pondered moving toward the light tunnel and Todd's form appeared, she suddenly opened her eyes to find herself turned opposite from the street light, staring at an SUV tire heading toward her at 45 mph. She managed to spring to her feet in a split second, narrowly avoiding having her head crushed by the vehicle. The experience involved a near-miss with death where she was unconscious long enough for a life-threatening situation to develop. The entities' discussion about it not being her time, combined with Todd's voice calling her back, facilitated her return just in time to save her life. She remains uncertain about the identity or number of the judging entities but knows she's lucky to be alive.
