A woman with a severe urinary tract infection with blood in her urine visited her family doctor who administered a strong penicillin shot. After the doctor left the room, she felt faint and clammy, then passed out while sitting up, unable to scream for help. She floated up out of her body toward the ceiling and corner of the room, saw a tunnel and began spinning in the white tunnel. While out of body, she heard the nurse come in, see her passed out, and run out screaming for the doctor. The doctor ordered adrenaline shots and both medical staff sat her up and administered multiple shots in her arms. As she came to, she exited the corner/tunnel and went back into her body. She was dripping with sweat, wearing a wet grey cotton shirt when she left. The doctor told her he had "lost" her and it scared him to death. She was frightened and wanted to leave quickly but was told to sit and relax to ensure she was okay. At the time, she didn't understand what had occurred and didn't know about NDEs until five years later when a TV show explained them. She then began talking about it and discovered others who had also had NDEs. She will never forget the experience and knows without doubt that her soul or spirit left her body that day. Her belief in God has strengthened and she knew He wasn't ready to take her yet.
