A woman experienced an NDE after long, complicated surgery. Upon becoming conscious in recovery, she begged the nurse to let her die due to horrendous pain, but the nurse refused. She then found herself in another realm - upright in space surrounded by bright, sparkly lights brighter than the sun but not hurting her eyes. She was enveloped in alive, loving light that consumed her, filling every cell. A soft breeze moved golden curtain sashes in a huge temple before her. The curtains were made of flat, penny-sized gold pieces draped over wooden rafters between stone columns.
Despite being distant from the temple, she could see details closely. She felt completely peaceful with no fear, absorbed in love without thoughts of family or future. Her body wouldn't move forward toward the temple, but she could look through a side window and saw a beautiful gold-patterned wooden box she wondered might be the Ark of the Covenant. An extremely bright orb approached from her right, which she immediately knew was Jesus. She saw His face's charcoal sketch outline against the brightness. Jesus spoke telepathically: "It is not your time yet. You have to go back. Everything is going to be okay. Tell them about me." Though she didn't want to leave, she couldn't argue. Looking down, she saw only a white robe with tiny sparkles shimmering on it, extraordinarily beautiful. Jesus allowed her final looks around before sending her back, putting thoughts of family in her mind. Instantly back in recovery around 9:30 PM, the pain was gone. She overheard the nurse tell an orderly "We had a hard time stabilizing her." She felt God's presence and wondered if she was glowing. The experience left her struggling to share her visit with Jesus without sounding ridiculous.
