An 11-year-old Russian boy drowned in Lake Obozero in the Arkhangelsk region. While his mother and aunt were 40 meters away, he struggled desperately, shouting for help while choking on water. As he sank to about 2 meters depth, he saw his mother jump in wearing her blue dress. In desperation, he climbed up her body like a tree, drowning her in the process while uncontrollably inhaling water. When his strength was completely gone, his thoughts hammered "Now I'll die" repeatedly, followed by questioning "Why did I live?"
A life review began showing events like film frames with complete sensory details - smells, wind, even dust. He could stop and examine any moment, feeling the sun's warmth and breeze. After reviewing everything without finding life's purpose, he felt a tingling sensation like weak electrical current flowing from his extremities to his chest, where "I" resides. His limbs ossified as he left his body through his back at chest level. Feeling immense relief at finally dying, he saw his body and mother clearly underwater while moving away. At 5 meters distance, he flew through a round hole into complete darkness, seeing his body through this portal while moving through light particle dispersion toward a yellowish glow. Approaching the light, he felt all-consuming love, warmth, and joy. Then hearing "It is not yet your time," he was turned by an invisible force and flew back ten times faster. Returning through the hole, he found his body being dragged ashore. Fascinated by his huge-appearing heel with its papillary patterns and sand grains sparkling in sunlight, he flew into his body through the heel. His mother and aunt revived him, pumping water from his lungs and restarting his heart while he playfully made his lips into a tube to fountain water at their faces, finding death amusing.
