A young mother underwent thyroid surgery for a follicular cell tumor. During surgery, she remembered seeing her female doctor looking over her face before losing consciousness, surprising the doctor who said she should have been completely unconscious by then. She left her body and found herself in a space enveloped with soft white light, like a room without walls or floor. There was a chess game on a banquet table and a being in her left periphery she couldn't directly see. She arrived feeling heavy-hearted and weary. The being discussed her young daughter, and she initially felt she didn't want to return, believing her daughter's good father would be enough. The conversation included other issues she can't fully recall, but notably the being told her there would be another baby. This discussion restored her maternal feelings of love, prompting her return. She awoke gasping on a gurney pushed against a wall with tubes removed, experiencing burning sensations throughout her body like her spiritual being couldn't adjust to this frequency. Dr. Kaplan found her and she ended up urinating on herself. The doctor said people don't act this way after thyroid surgery. Later she experienced severe anxiety, angelic music visits, and saw the word "Grayson" spelled out in letters while sleeping - significant as Bruce Greyson founded IANDS. Her daughter Zoey was born in 2007, fulfilling the being's prediction.
