Seven years prior, a man experiencing work-related stress and anxiety was lying in bed when he began hyperventilating and felt his heart and breathing stop, losing consciousness. He fell through different levels of consciousness encountered during sleep, with an intense feeling of love and calmness growing stronger with each level. He reached a place where his deceased paternal grandmother was sitting at a table in his parents' dining room, surrounded by beautiful orange, purple and red light with calming white noise emanating from all around. They communicated telepathically without words, exchanging feelings of unconditional love and a sense of "not to worry." His grandmother appeared to be grinning, at peace and very happy. At this point he felt his heart and breath restart and regained consciousness. The experience left him with lasting feelings of peace and connection to the spiritual realm.
