A woman with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome experienced multiple NDEs through 26 surgeries over 15 years. At age 5 with kidney cancer, after being anesthetized while coding from blood loss, she found herself in a waiting room with benches. A woman at a central table stamped her hand blue and directed her through a blue portal (versus a red one). She emerged in her neighborhood, seeing deceased grandparents strolling the street. Entering her house by passing through the door, she heard but couldn't see her father and sister having lunch - later confirmed they were home eating while she was in surgery. In 2013, after 18 hours of labor, she bled out during emergency cesarean. She observed doctors delivering her son and saw herself pale and nearly dead - observations her doctor later confirmed. In 2016, brain decompression surgery led to septic infection. Her incision reopened, draining brain fluid. With blood pressure 43/30 while coding, she felt incredible peace watching doctors work, saw her mother crying outside, and wanted to tell her everything was wonderful. After a week in ICU, she heard beautiful classical music for 5 days that no one else could hear - it stopped when she stepped back from death's edge. In 2018, E. coli infection caused kidney failure. While unconscious, she played with her deceased childhood dog - seeing, smelling, feeling, and hearing him perfectly. Each experience brought brighter technicolor vision, deeper understanding, and meaning in everything.
