James attempted suicide by taking approximately 150 muscle relaxers. Found 4 hours later unconscious with O2 saturation at 50%. He was cardioverted 3 times in route to hospital. He floated above the ambulance watching paramedics cut off his clothes. Then went through a dark brown/green cloudy tunnel to a place outside the universe where he could see galaxies, stars, planets and Earth. He experienced overwhelming aloneness and absence of God. He felt something behind him and knew if he turned to look he would be there forever. He watched his personal universe being destroyed by fire. Then found himself in trauma room standing 6 feet from his body watching nurses wash charcoal off him. He distinctly remembered them rolling him to wash his back. He awoke intubated in ICU.
