A mother of three young children under age four attempted suicide by taking approximately 30 Wellbutrin XL tablets, immediately regretting her action. After falling to the floor unable to vomit the pills, she was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where she experienced approximately 25 seizures over eight hours. With her body shutting down and facing imminent cardiac arrest, medical staff placed her in a drug-induced coma on full life support. Her family was initially given only a 20% chance of her survival, though this improved to 50% as she stabilized.
During the coma, she experienced a terrifying vision of a massive silver and black grate approaching her - a perfect cube being constructed piece by piece with deafeningly loud metal clanging sounds. She understood this cube was either meant to contain her or she would enter it and never return. Terror consumed her as the structure grew louder and closer. Despite being restrained to the hospital bed, she experienced herself fighting desperately, her arms punching and thrashing in front of her as she screamed to God that she didn't want to die, that she wanted to live. The cube continued its inexorable approach until she felt certain death was imminent. She cried, screamed, and fought with every ounce of her being. Then suddenly, in a miraculous transformation, rainbow prisms flooded through every section of the cube structure. She knew with absolute certainty in her heart that God had heard her desperate cries. She felt herself being lifted up and taken into Jesus' arms, where He held her and told her she was loved and that she was His. The entire experience was suffused with an orange hue during her time with Christ. The dramatic shift from the terrifying mechanical cube to the rainbow-filled divine embrace represented a profound spiritual transformation. She survived against the odds, understanding that her desperate prayer had been answered and that she had been claimed and saved by divine love when she was closest to death.
