A woman experienced a near-death event during a severe illness from possible food poisoning, though the exact cause was never determined. She had been severely ill for weeks, unable to keep any food down, and her weight dropped to a mere 80 pounds. Despite being thin, her stomach became distended to the size of a nine-month pregnant woman's belly from excess bile production, nearly exploding. She was hospitalized for weeks while doctors struggled to identify the cause of her mysterious illness.
During this critical period, she had an inner knowing that she was dying and could sense her spirit releasing itself. Angels told her she needed to get to the hospital immediately. She felt as if she could recall this happening from before, knowing what was occurring but not wanting to die. When her husband arrived home, she experienced everything becoming peaceful with faint music playing. She witnessed her spirit rise above her body and observed it for a while from above, floating but not too far up.
