In 1977, a 15-year-old girl experienced a severe car accident during an illegal drag race with older boys. The impact left her unconscious with severe injuries including a compound fracture of her left femur and hip, requiring immediate medical intervention. Paramedics found her bloody and mangled in the dirt, working desperately to save her life.
During the trauma, she experienced a profound out-of-body experience where she felt completely calm and warm, with no sense of her physical form.
