A 20-year-old woman was hospitalized with a severe infection from a Copper 7 IUD that had been implanted during military service. She was on her deathbed when she flatlined, immediately zooming through a dark tunnel that quickly became bright with light. She was regurgitated into a golden field reminiscent of a special place from her childhood in Germany where honeysuckle bloomed. The weather was beyond perfect with divine sunlight and breeze, and the field glowed with golden grass displaying God's splendor.
She experienced herself as approximately 4 years old, skipping innocently through the field and into the arms of a tall spiritual being in a long hooded robe. She recognized him as male and felt sudden peace and protection. He picked her up and sat her on his knee, seeming about to speak when static interrupted. A non-verbal question was imposed about whether she wanted to stay or return. Despite wanting to stay, she chose to go back as the static grew louder. She was whisked back through the tunnel. Upon return, she immediately pointed to her head, demonstrating awareness of her appearance. The strong antibiotics had damaged her hair, and she asked for a scarf. Her family had been praying beside her bed throughout the experience. The static she heard was later identified as her family's prayers beside her bed. This veridical observation of her damaged hair appearance, which she couldn't have known through normal means while unconscious, provides evidential support for the reality of her out-of-body experience.
