At age 12, an experienced Junior Olympic swimmer was playing "Uncle" with a high school senior in the practice pool at the YMCA in Miami, Florida. They lost consciousness while trying to pull a friend underwater and drowned, experiencing no fear or sensation of suffocating. They found themselves traveling in an escalator-style ride up to white clouds, looking down to see their friend and swim coach trying to revive them on the opposite side of the pool from where they drowned. They said "You're wasting your time, I'm up here." They entered what they believed to be heaven and were totally surrounded by God's LOVE with no desire to return to earth, not missing anyone or anything. They could see but received thoughts from other sources without seeing anyone. They saw God and inherited his ability to love, forgive and forget. They remember being able to come down to earth and sit on a tree limb in a beautiful valley of trees and grass, possibly an apple orchard with green apples. They could float to different locations in heaven and visit anyone they wanted, though they didn't have the desire at that time, being totally caught up with God's Love. The next memory was spitting out water on the ground and walking two blocks home. They believe they were dead, not just near death, and that God has planned their life with many divine experiences. They report being given codes for eradicating the flu and a six-minute test for respiratory infections as God's gifts. The experience profoundly affected their beliefs about the afterlife and divine purpose.
