The experiencer was sitting in their kitchen last October when they suddenly had chest pain and the strong conviction they were about to die. They describe feeling warm while falling and surprisingly felt no hate or anger toward their parents, accepting that this was the end of their life. The experience progressed as they passed through two doorways - one of justice and one of love - entering an empty space where normal senses did not apply. There was no sense of time or space in this realm. They encountered what they describe as an "essence of compassion" that was ultimate and would accept even a mass murderer. They felt drawn to this essence but sensed a barrier preventing full union. In this state, they understood that nothing needed to be gained or achieved - everything was perfect as it is. Remarkably, they saw the garden and lawn outside as if the room had no walls, even though this view was impossible from their seated position, which they verified multiple times afterward. The experience left them with absolute joy, transcending happiness, and three profound convictions: that fear of death is an error, that there exists an "essence of compassion" that some call God, and that while their Buddhist teachings contained truth, other religions like Islam also contain truth. They now see both Buddhist and Abrahamic religious perspectives as mutually compatible ways of describing the same phenomenon, comparing it to how light is both particle and wave.
