A pedestrian pushing a disabled car was struck from behind when another vehicle hit. Trapped between both cars, the impact bent the frames of both vehicles. They regained consciousness on an emergency room gurney, knowing they were dying and welcoming release from pain. Despite religious upbringing expecting a man in white robes on a golden throne, the experience differed dramatically.
As death occurred, all feeling ceased and blackness closed in with light shrinking to a pinpoint. They felt themselves falling backward into blackness with a cool wind sensation, then turned toward a pinpoint of light. Emerging into light in an upper corner of the ER, they observed their body on the gurney below without disturbance, experiencing euphoria, perfect peace, and complete being without pain, wants, or needs - a sense of being home. They sensed a presence and received communication beyond telepathy - not hearing words but instant sharing of knowledge. Made to understand they must return, they experienced their first want: the desire to remain. The wall became transparent, revealing a flowing silver, shimmering river. Each drop was a different color yet flowed as one body. These colored drops were the experiences of all who had lived, existing as separate items belonging to the whole - the collective consciousness containing omniscient knowledge of everything spoken, heard, and experienced, including every cell division and thought. They understood concepts of ONE foreign to description - many being one and one being many simultaneously. Touching the river revealed past lives across infinite realms, realities, and worlds with beings unlike anything in science fiction. After receiving understanding about right and wrong actions through sensations, they fell backward into their body. They died again during 30 hours of surgery but had no second experience.
