During a violent domestic assault, the experiencer was being strangled by their abusive boyfriend who had his thumbs pressed to the back of their throat while sitting on them. Their son tried to help by jumping on the attacker's back but was pushed off. After calling out to God, they were suddenly pulled or thrown into another space. They found themselves in a theater-like area with illuminating light, experiencing profound peace and quiet unlike anything known before. Their body became one with everything around them, like a drop of water joining the ocean. They became aware that everything is life and that time doesn't exist - everything happens simultaneously. Looking down, they saw their boyfriend strangling their physical body without feeling any emotion or attachment to it. They witnessed a complete life review showing past, present and future events like a flip book in fast forward, feeling every emotion they had caused others. Though unable to recall specific details, they received an important message. Upon thinking of their son, they were immediately pulled back into their body, feeling the hands around their neck again. The boyfriend looked into their eyes and suddenly released them and left. They ended the relationship without anger toward him.
