The experiencer's spleen ruptured at home and she was rushed to Yeovil Hospital for emergency surgery. She kept going in and out of a coma while being prepared for surgery. During this time, she could see herself lying there and felt at ease. A very bright light appeared, getting brighter continuously, and then she saw the figure of a man.
The man was tall with the brightest blue eyes, a strong jaw, neatly trimmed beard, and long tidy hair. He held his arms out, wearing a tunic of amber. She recognized him as the Lord. He told her she could travel on or go back - it was her choice. He said "Bless you my child, only you can make this decision. Things have been very hard for you over these past years. You have had so much to bear, more than many." He approached, put his hands on her forehead, bent and kissed her forehead, then asked "Which way are you going?" She replied that she had to go back because her work wasn't finished - her youngest daughter still needed help, her son was confused and needed help, and she hadn't spent enough time with Mike, her husband of only three years. The Lord said "Bless you my child then we will go back" and began to fade away along with the light. She next remembers waking up with family at her bedside, on a respirator. After recovering and being moved to an ordinary ward, she was discharged several days later. While on the breathing machine, her youngest daughter gave her a refrigerator magnet that was the exact image of her vision of Christ, which she now keeps on the wall above her bed.
