A woman who was five months pregnant experienced an emergency cerclage procedure due to unexplained dilation. The next day her water broke and she went into labor, delivering a stillborn baby whose lungs were not developed. She experienced massive blood loss for three days as the placenta had not come out, requiring emergency surgery. During this third surgery, she experienced death and found it wonderful and preferable to life.
During the experience, she was drawn into a bright atmospheric presence without boundaries that was everywhere like air. She recognized this greater presence as God, with a smaller section to the right that she understood was Christ who had led her there. She was given understanding about life without words - that all earthly emotions like anger, grief, and disappointment were small and irrelevant compared to the afterlife. She experienced a feeling that superseded peace, understanding why people constantly search but are never satisfied on earth. She was shown various moments from her life, including embarrassing moments from kindergarten and mundane moments like frying chicken at age sixteen, all to demonstrate how unimportant earthly events are compared to eternity. She repeatedly said "You are in control, so that's all life was about" with overwhelming confirmation. As she was experiencing this divine existence, she heard someone screaming and was told by the presence "but you have a husband who loves you very much." She was sent back despite wanting to stay, returning to her body during surgery while feeling pain. After the experience, she no longer takes life events seriously knowing they are temporary. She can identify truly anointed pastors from those who are not. She feels some resentment about being sent back and spends time trying to recapture the feelings from the experience. The depression she had been experiencing was completely cured and replaced with love and renewed energy.
