The individual decided to commit suicide and created a hangman's knot in a rope, tied it to a beam, placed the noose around their neck, grabbed the beam and let go. The rope broke but the noose had tightened sufficiently to cause death by suffocation. The person was later found with no detectable pulse, having lost bladder and bowel control, and was initially pronounced dead before a faint pulse was eventually detected. The person awoke in the hospital a day or more later.
Immediately after letting go of the beam, the person found themselves in a light looking down at their dead body on the floor. From this elevated perspective, they could see their body clearly and observed shadowy figures moving in the background. A voice identified as God spoke telepathically, expressing respect for the person's decision either way but stating a preference for them to return. God indicated there were plans and a destiny to fulfill. The communication emphasized that the choice was ultimately the person's to make, with God respecting free will while expressing divine purpose for their continued life. The person observed their dead body from above and saw shadowy figures in the background. The telepathic communication with God was clear and specific about respecting their decision while wanting them to fulfill their destiny. Being curious about these plans, the person chose to return. After choosing to return, the noose loosened and the soul re-entered the body. Others found the person and initially declared them dead, noting the loss of bodily functions. Though unable to move, open eyes, or speak, the person could hear everything, including someone detecting a faint pulse. The next memory was awakening in the hospital days later.
