Eleven-year-old Hector G experienced an NDE in June 1962 while at the beach with his family. He ventured too far into the water alone and became exhausted trying to swim back to shore. Despite struggling to stay afloat, he was too weak and began slipping beneath the water, swallowing large amounts. After continued struggle, he knew he was going to die and surrendered to his fate.
Immediately upon surrendering, a great feeling of total love and peace engulfed him. He found himself being pulled rapidly through a dark tunnel by his chest, with his arms and legs trailing behind. Throughout the journey, he felt complete love and peace with no fear. At the end of the tunnel, he saw a super bright light and the silhouette of Jesus Christ, from whom the love and peace radiated. He was told it was not his time yet and, despite not wanting to return and having no opportunity to argue, he was sent back.
