A five-year-old girl experienced drowning while swimming in a pond when her brother took her flotation board. She sank to the deepest part of the pond, initially panicking and struggling underwater. The experience transformed when pain ceased and she felt fine, believing she could breathe underwater. She observed fish nudging her and realized she was dead, becoming just an object like a treasure chest in a fishbowl.
Her consciousness rose above the pond to treetop height, gaining a panoramic view. She observed her mother and sister sunbathing at the pond entrance, engaged in adult conversation, unaware of her drowning. She saw her brother John on her board at the opposite end. Feeling rage at her family's lack of love, she accepted death and prepared to leave. An angel appeared as white light and told her to wait, that she might return if found soon. The angel later appeared more clearly, acknowledging the family didn't love her but promising she would have abundant love with her own family someday, pointing toward town. She was rescued by John who found her body underwater and carried her over his shoulder. The experience profoundly impacted her life, leading to various spiritual experiences and eventual healing from childhood trauma through sharing her NDEs.
