Eric went for a scheduled sleep study appointment but was sick and dismissed. His girlfriend drove him to the hospital after he told her he was having a stroke. He lost consciousness in the emergency room while filling out paperwork and fell to the floor. He was in a coma for 101 days and coded twice according to medical records. During one code event, Eric found himself observing the medical team working to revive him from an out-of-body perspective. He could walk through walls and felt like he was suffocating. He heard doctors tell his family to take him off life support. Before suddenly waking up in his body, something told him 'You are OK now.' The nurse dropped her cellphone when he tried to get out of bed. He initially had left-side paralysis but recovered after months of intense physical therapy. He now runs a non-profit to help disabled people as part of what he believes is his soul purpose to teach and help others.
