Yi-Ping experienced three separate NDEs across her life, each with distinct characteristics. At age 21 (1994), her heart stopped for 5 minutes at hot springs, where she saw shadows of her deceased grandparents and an unidentified little girl in complete darkness. At age 28 (2001), excessive coffee consumption triggered a heart attack due to her congenital heart abnormality. She saw bright light, heard beautiful heavenly music, and observed everything shining like gold before waking in the hospital.
Her most significant experience occurred at age 32 (2005) when a foal accidentally kicked her chest at a horse ranch, causing cardiac arrest. Her heart stopped for over 10 minutes. She vividly experienced leaving her body and floating in the sky like a balloon, seeing herself lying on the grass while colleagues tried to help. She felt the blue sky, clouds, and breeze with extraordinary clarity, feeling happy and fearless. After about 5 seconds, she fell like a crashing airplane and felt buried underground before pushing through soil to return. The primary veridical observations occurred during the third experience where she watched her colleagues running around trying to help her body on the ground from an aerial perspective. She could see their specific movements and efforts while her physical body lay unresponsive with no heartbeat for over 10 minutes. Remarkably, despite the prolonged cardiac arrest, neither she nor her unborn baby suffered any lasting damage, which the doctor called miraculous. These experiences transformed Yi-Ping from Buddhism to Christianity, eliminated her serious depression, gave her daily happiness, and developed abilities including earthquake prediction, sensing when church friends pass away, and even receiving a party invitation from a deceased Romanian pastor. She can now communicate with horses and has heightened spiritual sensitivity.
