Lalita was playing with her sisters and friends in a water-filled trench during high tide, using buckets to stay afloat since none of them could swim. When she and a friend ventured to the middle where they couldn't touch bottom, the friend panicked and grabbed Lalita's bucket, causing her to lose her flotation. As she began drowning with her sisters screaming but unable to help, her father heard the commotion and jumped into the water to save her. He searched for half an hour, later describing it as the scariest moment of his life. During this time, Lalita saw an enormous hand bigger than the trench, surrounded by beautiful lights, lifting her from the water. She felt completely safe and began floating through a tunnel of beautiful orange-colored lights that were peaceful and soft. After traveling through the lights, she felt her feet touch sand and thought she could get out of the water. When she opened her eyes, she was on the roadside with her father trying to revive her, though no water came out. She felt embarrassed and walked away. The experience made her a good swimmer who loves the water, while her sisters who witnessed the event remain afraid of swimming. Before her father died, he asked her to explain what she saw, knowing he hadn't been the one to save her. She told him about the light, bringing him peace.
