Julie, a Christian writer and domestic violence advocate, experienced a severe allergic reaction on August 24, 2024, while home alone. Despite taking oral medications and self-administering an EpiPen, her condition deteriorated rapidly with extreme heart rate, trembling, and loss of consciousness. Throughout the crisis, she heard God's voice directing her to treat it as an allergic reaction and warning her not to sleep. EMTs found her heart rate at 240 bpm and she flatlined briefly in the ambulance after medication was administered. During her clinical death, Julie found herself approaching a gold cloud with movement behind it, when two glass-like barriers snapped into place blocking her view. The barriers appeared as living, glowing glass with kaleidoscope patterns of orange, yellow, pink, and purple, containing shifting flowers with embedded pearls and onyx. Jesus stood to her right, though she couldn't see Him directly, and told her in a rich baritone voice: "You're not ready yet. Go. There is still so much work to be done." She was immediately pulled backward at tremendous speed back to her body. Medical confirmation of flatlining validated her experience. The encounter left her with profound understanding that her work for God is vital and unfinished, enhanced spiritual sensitivity, and complete peace about death while recognizing everything happens according to divine purpose.
