John attended a holiday tree lighting ceremony where he had an argument with his adopted son. After leaving, he experienced rapid heartbeat and loss of oxygen while driving. He managed to text his ex-wife about his condition and drive to the hospital, running red lights while punching himself to stay conscious. His last memory was trying not to hit the hospital window before crashing into the wall and losing consciousness. His father found him not breathing and performed CPR. He then floated through a dark tunnel that felt like space, surrounded by overwhelming love and peace, feeling familiar with the environment. Through telepathic communication with a presence, he expressed concern about his son remembering their last argument and chose to return. The being assured him he would return to his body. He described feeling like a star in space, experiencing more love and peace than ever before. John woke three days later in the hospital after being resuscitated from VFib. The experience eliminated his fear of death and strengthened his purpose to build better relationships with his children.
