During open-heart surgery for WPW syndrome two days before his 39th birthday, Jean-Jacques experienced his third NDE. The cardiac surgeon had recommended the invasive procedure as antiarrhythmic medications were ineffective and repeated cardioversions would be dangerous. A new catheter ablation procedure was available but still experimental with risk of massive bleeding if the heart envelope was pierced. He chose the traditional surgery.
For the third time, he floated face down near the ceiling observing his body with chest cavity wide open. Having left his suffering physical form, he accessed eternal peace and ecstasy without pain or fear - a world of unconditional unlimited love. The familiar 45-degree tunnel opened behind him. After glancing at his lacerated body, he spiraled clockwise at full speed toward the blazing white light but came to an abrupt stop when a large boulder materialized, blocking progression. Three human forms stood at the boulder's base - his deceased father, paternal grandfather, and paternal uncle, all appearing youthful in their early 30s. Overwhelmed and weeping with delight at reuniting, he saw his father raise his right arm with hand open in a stop signal. Without speaking, his father telepathically communicated it was too soon, he had to return as he had other undertakings to accomplish in his lifetime. His father smiled lovingly before he was suddenly repelled through the tunnel at lightning speed. Reentering his body was brutal with unbearable pain. He awoke on his 39th birthday with nurses singing Happy Birthday, bringing cake despite his nausea from bloodied tubes. The surgeon said the procedure lasted longer than expected due to difficulty accessing the pathway in a hard-to-reach area. When asked about complications, the surgeon didn't answer but confirmed the tachyarrhythmia should be resolved.
