Jean-Jacques, born with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, experienced severe tachyarrhythmia while at work that continued through teaching an evening class. After 18 hours of symptoms with heart rate fluctuating wildly (195-315 BPM), he was admitted to emergency. Three IV bags of Pronestyl failed to restore normal rhythm despite high dosage. The head cardiologist said his heart would have failed if he'd been a smoker and electrical cardioversion was the only remaining option.
During cardioversion under sedation, he felt himself floating face down over his body, rising toward the ceiling. The familiar 45-degree tunnel from his childhood NDE opened behind him as he watched several cardioversion attempts below. Without hesitation, he surrendered to the vortex, overwhelmed with happiness, peace, unconditional love and excitement like returning home. Spiraling clockwise through the tunnel approaching the majestic white light, he abruptly stopped. A choice was telepathically proposed - either continue into the light or immediately return to his earthly body. This option wasn't offered in his first NDE at age 7, nor would it be in his third NDE the following year. He believed it was conveyed by a spirit guide, offering the possibility of extending his earthly stay for future tasks or missions. He could hear Lucy's voice urging deep breaths and was immediately hurled back at lightning speed, painfully reentering his body. He awoke to excruciating chest pain with burning sensation like being scorched by flame, smelling roasted chicken. Lucy had been summoned to repeatedly tell him to breathe deeply as his breathing was too shallow. The cardiologist later confirmed several electric shocks were needed to restore normal rhythm. No medication could prevent future episodes in his case.
