George experienced a life-threatening case of mononucleosis with white blood cell counts so dangerously high that doctors said it was almost impossible he was still functioning. When given a shot for the infection at the hospital, he blacked out for an unknown duration. The severity of his condition was extreme, representing a genuine medical crisis that threatened his life.
During his unconscious state, George vividly experienced floating as an orb of energy over vast expanses of extremely bright green rolling hills that seemed to extend infinitely. He floated approximately 10 feet off the ground with no physical body, moving freely over the endless landscape. The green color was extraordinarily vivid—super bright but not neon. Coming upon a river or stream, he saw on the opposite bank about 50 or more deceased family members standing together in bodily form, though not fully visible. His great-grandmother and grandfather were recognizable among them, along with family members he had never met. They welcomed him with happiness and excitement through non-verbal communication, ready to guide him to the other side of the river. Children and pets were also present among the gathered family. The most significant aspect was the river boundary—George understood he could not cross it, though he was never given a clear choice to stay or return. He felt absolute freedom, peace, and co-existence with everything at a non-physical level of connection. The happiness of seeing his great-grandmother was particularly meaningful. He existed in a timeless state where he could do anything without time constraints. There was no verbal communication, yet he understood the joy and welcome from his family members. Upon waking in the hospital, George retained the profound sense that this experience was more real than ordinary reality. The encounter led him to become more interested in human connection rather than worship, eventually becoming a born-again Christian student of the Bible. He now believes everyone and everything is connected in ways we cannot normally perceive.
