Ten-year-old Zoila suffered a head injury on May 8, 1986, when she crashed her bicycle into a parked car while riding down parking garage ramps without functioning brakes. After hitting the car at high speed, she was unconscious for an unknown period. While unconscious in the hospital, she could hear conversations including a doctor telling her father that if she didn't wake up, more severe injury and testing were indicated. She suddenly saw the room from ceiling level, observing her mother storming out and her father's bald spot as he sat by the bed. She was vacuumed out through brilliant warm light that enveloped her with comfort and peace, traveling at high speed through light that might have been a tunnel. She landed in a realm of pure love, acceptance, and feeling of being home. Two tall beings of radiant light communicated telepathically, asking if she felt God, which she confirmed. They said her grandmother would take her next, but when an elderly woman appeared, Zoila said it wasn't her grandmother as hers were alive. The beings told her to look again, and she recognized this was her grandmother from a past life. Her father's desperate calling pulled her back. The beings said she could return and would come back someday. She verified her observations with her father, including his red polo shirt, but was told not to discuss the experience.
