Vicki experienced clinical death from septicemia and encephalitis following exposure to toxic petrochemical fumes in 1989. She became violently ill at work and was sent home, deteriorating rapidly until her husband called an ambulance. At the hospital, she was placed on antiviral and antibacterial IV drips, but when the antibacterial medication was stopped, she died. She left her body and floated above it, watching panicked doctors saying "She's going down" as monitors flatlined. She was drawn through a blue tunnel with silver and white streaks into brilliant white light filled with unconditional love. She visited a healing temple where colored lights cleansed her, and a garden where flowers sang in perfect harmony. She attended learning sessions including one on plant creation, met beings of light, and believes she encountered Jesus Christ. After extensive conversations with light beings about her life purpose, she was given a choice to return. When asked how many people she would help if she returned, they said "hundreds if not thousands," prompting her decision to come back. She was in intensive care for a week and hospitalized for a month, taking a year to fully recover.
