Darry was shot point-blank in the back of the head at a party by someone angry about a female. He experienced floating up and over houses, feeling the direction he was going. When people talked to him, it sounded like they were getting farther away, but when he responded, he could feel himself back in his body on the ground. This happened 3-4 times as he floated away and returned. He could feel the ambulance turning corners and heard paramedics asking if he was with them. He arrived at shock-trauma unable to see and thought he might be dead. A witness later told him that he had said "You can't kill me, only God can kill me." The experience left him feeling confused throughout, with no sense of time.
