Sorina M experienced a near-death event at approximately one month old in May 1991 when she drowned during bathing. Her mother was washing her when water drops entered her mouth causing aspiration. She immediately began foaming at the mouth, turned blue-purple, and went stiff. After 15 minutes of continuous foaming, she was transported to the hospital. During this event, Sorina found herself at the edge of a tunnel, playing with bright warm light using her right hand. Inside the tunnel, she saw three men to the left who were chatting happily and occasionally looking at her without worry. She witnessed disturbing visions of hell, saw her mother crying outside the hospital, and observed a male doctor/nurse holding her while administering injections. She experienced a future vision showing she would have blonde-haired, blue-eyed children despite having brown eyes. She saw what her mother's grief would be if she died and made a conscious decision to return. She floated above her mother after deciding to come back. Upon initially entering her body when the medical professional was treating her, she felt relief from him but quickly left again due to shame about being naked. She retained these memories throughout childhood but didn't understand their origin until age 28 when her mother confirmed the drowning incident. Her mother described the exact medical details Sorina had remembered. The experience included elements of past and future vision, with Sorina later claiming enhanced abilities to see future events.
