In April 2020, Claire W fainted while having blood drawn for routine lab tests, having warned the technician about her tendency to faint. She blacked out and was unconscious for almost a minute while violently seizing. During this time, she saw a bright light and passed through what seemed like a tunnel, then experienced her entire life from birth to high school graduation. She saw her parents holding her as a baby with her deceased grandmother present, herself playing with cousins at age 3, and floated above watching everything from above. Time felt both fast and slow simultaneously, as if she was there for years. She heard nurses and technicians yelling her name, which she later confirmed with them. She also saw herself at age 3 falling off a swing and cutting her forehead - an event she had never remembered until the experience, which her mother confirmed actually happened. She saw her deceased grandparents and past pets. Toward the end, she felt her body shaking and jerking, heard the nurses yelling while holding her head, then gasped back to consciousness surrounded by about 10 scared-looking medical staff. The experience felt more real than normal life events.
