Penny S, age 21, drove intoxicated at 50 mph into a tree without a seatbelt, resulting in a DUI. She was unresponsive and had to be "brought back." In her unconscious state, she found herself in a comfortable dark space that felt like an absence of space, experiencing a profound sense of returning home. She felt wrapped in a blanket of comfort, love, unity, and wholeness. Though she couldn't see him, she felt the presence of John, her brother's half-brother who had died at 16 the previous year. His presence communicated without words: "Our older brother cannot handle the loss of another sibling. You have to go back." She then woke in the hospital. Instead of shame about her accident, she felt rebirth and certainty that she needed to change her life completely. She successfully completed DUI classes, being one of only two clients who never missed a day. The experience eliminated her fear of death and hell, giving her certainty that good people reunite with loved ones on the other side, where the whole point is to love and be good. She doesn't know where bad people go but knows they're not where the love is.
