In 2007, Callum was fixing a broken water trough while kneeling in water with his elbows submerged. His forehead touched an exposed electrical wire above the trough, causing electrocution that felt like being hit with a bat. He was unconscious for approximately 5-6 hours, from mid-morning until late afternoon, and woke up spread-eagled on his back next to the trough with no one having discovered him.
During his unconscious state, Callum experienced living an entire lifetime on another world. He was still himself but as a different person with a different name. In this other life, he had a wife and children who he knew, though he felt confused having come from living another real life. The experience of time was dramatically different - he lived a complete lifetime to old age in the other world while only 5 hours passed on Earth. When he died of old age in that other life, he returned to consciousness at approximately the same time he had been electrocuted. He retained all the memories and lessons learned from that entire lifetime, including memories of being old, dying, and raising children - experiences he hadn't yet had in his current life. The experience left him confused about which reality was real, as when in the other life, his Earth life seemed strange and distant, and vice versa. He realized that religion is lies but God is real as a force of love working within universal physics, believing consciousness is all linked as part of something larger we cannot understand.
