Bobby was a passenger in a Geo Metro on Black Friday 1999 when her friend pulled out in front of an SUV traveling 60 mph. The impact was on Bobby's door, requiring firefighters 34 minutes to extract her. She suffered multiple facial fractures, pelvic fractures, torn bladder, broken clavicle, fractured SI vertebrae, and traumatic brain injury, requiring facial reconstructive surgery and extended hospitalization.
During the accident, Bobby experienced herself as a ball of light inside her chest, then leaving her body from behind her sternum. She describes being surrounded by an inexplicable bright light and experiencing complete connection with YHWH (God). She knew everything in that moment and felt she was going back home to her Creator, with no questions or worries. She was completely content with leaving this world and felt free from her physical form. The experience was characterized by incredible peace, joy, and unity with the universe. She understood everything about the universe and felt surrounded by love. Time ceased to exist in this state. She describes feeling pulled back to YHWH by an invisible force and knowing with certainty she had been there before. Bobby was angry at God for letting her live after experiencing such profound peace and completeness. The experience left her struggling for years but eventually brought her back to faith. She now helps others with her story, knowing that death is merely a doorway and that everything is connected through divine love.
