Matthew was a police lieutenant and attorney suffering from undiagnosed vasovagal dysfunction disorder. On Thanksgiving 2019 at his parents' house, he suddenly lost consciousness while watching TV. His family reported he went limp, turned white showing all blood vessels, and was completely unresponsive, prompting a 911 call. From Matthew's perspective, he found himself lying in a dark, endless void that felt familiar and comfortable. A cylinder of bright light appeared with a loving presence who spoke directly to his consciousness, saying "Matt, you have lived a hard life and there would be no shame in giving up now. Matthew reports subsequent visions and spiritual encounters, including being told his ancient name is El Shaddai and that he would become "the most famous person in history."
