On February 25, 2021, Ava attempted suicide by jumping 100 feet from a bridge into a shallow creek with large rocks. The impact caused catastrophic injuries including collapsed lungs, completely shattered third neck vertebra, broken skull bones, all vertebrae broken from neck to lower back, damaged spleen, and severe hypothermia. She was knocked unconscious upon impact and experienced clinical death.
During her unconscious state, a bright light appeared as a small dot that expanded tunnel-like to fill her entire vision. She felt her soul being pulled from her human form, specifically from the heart, and experienced herself as pure white essence at peace. She felt finally free, existing as just a soul in an unearthly space that seemed like a waiting room to the next destination. She then heard her deceased grandfather's voice, who had passed when she was 12, telling her she was not going to die and that he loved her. Her deceased boyfriend also told her he loved her but it wasn't her time. She accepted she would return to earth despite her sadness. The white space disappeared the same way it came. After her boyfriend finished speaking, she felt an unearthly push from her back by what she knew were her guardian angels, grandfather, and boyfriend. She became conscious standing on her feet in the water up to her mid-thighs - impossible given the severity of her injuries and the current's weakness. She knew this supernatural push had saved her. Despite trying to scream and cry, her injuries made it difficult. She looked up at the bridge and her survival instincts engaged. She managed to walk through the forest to get help despite massive trauma, going in and out of consciousness multiple times. She made it to a house where two men found her in a truck and called 911. She was life-flighted to the hospital where she spent 32 days and had neck surgery. The experience has strengthened her spiritual beliefs and connection to the other side.
