Her second journey to the same realm occurred at the hospital when medical records documented that her brain had ceased functioning and she was not breathing. This time, the presence gave her a choice to stay or return. Recent traumatic events flashed through her mind - her husband's shooting and paralysis, her daughter injured in the same accident - and she consciously chose to return for her family. She awakened three days later from a medically-induced coma to tell her aunt through tears that she had "just seen God." The experience produced profound spiritual confirmation despite already being a recent convert who had found God, been baptized, and studied the Bible in the year before the accident. Her daughter survived with broken vertebrae and intestinal lacerations requiring surgery. Amy endured a month-long hospitalization, wore a halo device for 90 days, underwent multiple surgeries including femur rod placement and foot reconstruction, and defied medical predictions by walking within six months rather than two years. Her right leg remains two inches shorter, causing a permanent limp, but she maintains absolute certainty that God is real and that she visited a divine realm that gave her the strength to survive for her family.
