Terrance was 15 years old, bicycling home from work on a dark October evening in 1965. At an intersection with Highway 7, he stopped and crossed into the median to wait. Suddenly, a westbound Ford station wagon traveling at approximately 90 mph in the left turn lane struck him from the left without warning. The impact was devastating, throwing him into the westbound lanes where cars swerved to avoid him.
During the accident, Terrance found himself positioned above the intersection, looking down at the illuminated scene despite it being nighttime. He observed the dark-green Ford station wagon with its chrome roof-rack continuing in the median, watched his own body spinning on the road, and saw cars avoiding him. He could see his melted blue nylon jacket and that he had been knocked out of his shoes. While out of body, he felt no pain, only comfort and peace. A non-verbal communication told him "It is not your time!" When he resisted returning to his damaged body, the message repeated firmly. He was instantly back in his body being lifted onto a gurney. X-rays revealed displaced kidneys and intestines, with blood in his urine and stool for months. A policeman later confirmed the exact details Terrance described about the station wagon, amazed he could have seen such specifics given the darkness and speed of impact. Terrance believes he has a special mission to fulfill and has positively affected many lives since his experience.
