Kimberly was awakened from sleep when her head began twitching and "zinging" uncontrollably. She was experiencing her first seizure, though she didn't know what was happening at the time. She briefly saw her father working in his home office and tried to call for help but couldn't speak. She fell back onto her pillow as the seizure continued, repeatedly thinking "Please don't let me die! I am too young to die."
During the seizure, Kimberly experienced a comprehensive life review where her entire past flashed before her eyes. She described it as someone rapidly flipping through a book of all her experiences up to that moment, faster than anything she could describe, with no particular memory having special focus. After the life review, she surrendered to the experience, saying in her mind "God's will be done." Her body immediately calmed and she felt immensely peaceful. Kimberly then felt herself lifting up from her body, moving upward toward something. She looked up at the ceiling fan and experienced tunnel vision, seeing a tunnel with a pearly-white, round structure like a light at the end. She felt curious rather than afraid and was narrowing in on the light when she suddenly woke up lying on her pillow. She initially told her father she had a strange "dream" but later realized it was an NDE when she experienced more seizures that year - none of which had the same spiritual qualities. The experience affirmed her Christian faith and gave her a deep sense of peace when surrendering to God's will. She was later diagnosed with a seizure disorder and put on medication. The experience compelled her to share her story in hopes of bringing comfort to others.
