Debra K experienced V-fib cardiac arrest on February 26, 2023, at 3:30 AM after having what she thought was heartburn all day. She called 911 and walked down four flights of stairs to meet the ambulance. The paramedics told her she had an hour to live and rushed her to the hospital where she was met by 15 medical staff. Ten minutes after arrival, her heart went into V-fib and stopped. During her clinical death, she experienced the most vivid psychedelic colors she had ever seen, like a Peter Max poster. She felt unprecedented peace and was actually annoyed when they brought her back with defibrillator paddles. The doctor asked if she saw the light, confirming she had died. A stent was placed in her lower heart chamber. Remarkably, the defibrillation seemed to "rewire" her brain - she quit smoking instantly with no withdrawals or cravings, as if her body had never smoked. She now has no fear of death despite having panic attacks about death her whole life. She experiences precognitive dreams and feels she went to another realm or dimension.
