Nebahat received a severe blow to her flank area between her ribs and hip that left her unable to breathe. Everything suddenly went dark, and she found herself having an extraordinary out-of-body experience. She was drifting in the air overlooking remarkably beautiful scenery that seemed more real than earthly reality. The colors were extraordinarily alive and clear, with a vividness she describes as surpassing normal vision.
To her right was a garden fence, and beyond it was what appeared to be Heaven. The area was lush with green trees and bathed in a beautiful shining light. Straight ahead was a mountain that paradoxically seemed both close and far simultaneously. She noticed specific details like a small black rock surrounded by red flowers on the mountain. As she observed her surroundings in a 180-degree view, she heard people speaking calmly behind and around her, though she couldn't see them and their voices seemed distant. The entire scene was characterized by an extraordinary clarity and peace, with no pain or distress. When she looked back toward what she perceived as Heaven, it had changed - the trees were darker green and the light dimmer. She considered crossing the fence but suddenly became frightened and changed her mind. This was her last memory before returning. Throughout the experience, she had no recollection of her earthly life, family, or friends - as if they didn't exist. The experience has deeply affected her to this day, making her less judgmental and more sensitive to nature, with a stronger belief in the afterlife despite becoming less religiously orthodox.
